My eyes are bleeding from staring at this computer screen. I'm still having trouble with the listhandler. It appears that since the listhandler processes forum post done via e-mail to check for valid e-mail addresses that it does not in turn select these postings to be put out via the listhandler. They have already been processed. The listhandler will select manual post to the General Interest forum and Replies to post as new content and will send them to the list. I've tried a number of ways to get around this but so far nothing has worked. Now I'm looking into different modules that may accomplish the same thing.
I'm going to try and call it a day but who knows, I may be back to try some more later on this evening. (I hope not (obsessive-compulsive disorder?)). I just thought of something else I have to do first... then I'm out of here...

It's been a productive day. I got Chat, a Shout Box, the Buddy List, Popular Content and a whole bunch of behind the scenes stuff installed and working. But, most importantly two big items... the Calendar and Rich-text formatting for input fields.
The Calendar isn't finished yet, I still need to add the RSVP and Volunteer features for Furby (and others promoting events). It is completely operational as is but these two features would be so useful.
The Rich-text formatting means the user, you, doesn't need to know HTML, BBCode or PHP to format a message or input screen. Just enter it like you're typing in a text editor like Word or WordPerfect. We all know how to use them.

HostGator, the web hosting service I'm using for this site, fixed the mailhandler so forum posts can be made via e-mail. It turned out it was not their problem afterall but instead it was poor documentation for the mailhandler module. HostGator went beyond the call of duty and I must say I am impressed.
Next step is to get the listhandler working so post made to the forum are in turn sent back out to all members on the list, and I really think the documentation for this module is far worse than for the mailhandler. Give me strength.
I noticed Chris logged in last night and browsed the site, he posted a brief blog entry and also a forum post. Both went well. Thank you Chris, your job has just begun
.
I'm not messing with the site any more this morning. A few hours sleep first and I'll be ready to go...
